New optics for Helecta LED-Retrofit

As the first German manufacturer we have introduced high efficient optics for Retrofit lamps in Juli 2015.

Thanks to the new retrofittable optics, our lamps are optimised for use in mushroom and bell-shaped luminaires. The entire luminous flux of the lamp is now directed to the road, square or pavement in a targeted manner. Light that was previously lost is utilised and allows lower output LED lamps to be used, yet identical or better luminance on the ground to be achieved. In this way further energy savings of up to 50% are possible – and that at extremely low costs and without any risk of failure!

Ökodesignrichtlinie: HQL-Verbot ab 13.04.2015

HQL- und einige NAV-Leuchtmittel dürfen ab dem 13.04.2015 in der EU nicht mehr in Verkehr gebracht werden. Ab dem Stichtag werden diese Leuchtmittel ausgephast und erhalten keine CE-Deklaration mehr.
Sollten diese bereits produziert sein und schon in der EU lagern, dürfen sie weiter verwendet und auch verkauft werden. Dies wird absehbar dazu führen, dass über eine gewisse Lagerhaltung des Handels und der Kommunen/Stadtwerke auch nach dem Stichtag HQL-Leuchten verwendet werden bis diese Vorräte aufgebraucht bzw. neue Leuchten installiert werden.
Die Helecta GmbH bietet sowohl Alternativen zu HQL und NAV Plug-in Leuchtmtitteln als auch komplette Leuchtenköpfe. Alle Produkte wurden von der Helecta in Deutschland entwickelt und werden in Deutschland produziert, um unseren Qualitätsansprüchen zu genügen. Erweiterung der Economy2-LED-Leuchtenfamilie

Neben unseren Straßenleuchten haben wir einen Flutlichtstrahler konzipiert, der mit seinen 24W LED-Modulen mit integrierter Treiberelektronik und Temperaturüberwachung, unsere Produktreihe der Economy 2 komplettiert. Aufgrund der Modularität und der Trennung von Konstantspannung und Konstantstrom können wir diesen Strahler nicht nur in den Standard-Wattagen bis 96W anbieten, sondern auch als kundenspezifische Version nahezu ohne Beschränkung der Leistung. Das Netzteil kann, je nach Kundenwunsch, im Gehäuse verbaut oder extern montiert werden.

Umzug in neue Produktionsräume

Ende 2014 ist die Helecta GmbH nach Tostedt umgezogen und hat damit ihre Produktionsfläche mehr als verdreifacht.

Ein eigens auf unsere Bedürfnisse angepasstes Lichtlabor und selbstentwickelte produktionsbeschleunigende Maschinen ermöglichen uns, den stetig steigenden Stückzahlen nach zu kommen sowie neue Produkte mit kürzeren Entwicklungszeiten in Produktion zu bringen.

Nominierung für den ARTIE-Innovationspreis 2014

Die Helecta GmbH wurde für den ARTIE-Innovationspreis 2014 in der Kategorie Innovation – heute nominiert. Hiermit werden Unternehmen aus dem Norden gewürdigt, die anspruchsvolle Entwicklungsleistungen vollbracht und Marktakzeptanz nachgewiesen haben und darüber hinaus Potenzial besitzen, die Marktführerschaft zu übernehmen und weltweit eine Alleinstellung inne zu haben.

On 13/04/2015 interim phase 2 of the ErP Directive will come into force, according to which the following products are no longer permitted to carry the CE marking and may therefore no longer be brought to market:

1) High-pressure mercury lamps (HPM / HQL) with E27, E40 und PGZ12 base

2) High-pressure sodium lamps (HPS / NAV) as retrofit /plug-in lamps with E27, E40 and PGZ12 base, which have been designed for use with HPM ballasts.

Should these lamps already have been produced and already be stored in the EU, they may continue to be used, and also distributed. It is foreseeable that this will lead to the use of HQL luminaires even after the deadline, until stocks warehoused by the trade and municipalities/municipal utilities are used up or new luminaires are installed.

Helecta GmbH offers alternatives for HQL and NAV plug-in lamps as well as completely new luminaire heads. All products have been developed by Helecta in Germany, and are manufactured in Germany to meet our quality requirements.

Based on our 5-year, long-term experience gained through installing over 17,000 LED retrofit lamps, Helecta has increased its warranty period to 4 years. Even under the most adverse conditions, such as intense heat in Cameroon or salty air along the German coastline, failure rates are still in the parts-per-thousand range, after years. And precisely that is what sets a Made in Germany product apart from cheap Asian imports.

Helecta GmbH has been producing LED retrofit lamps for street lights in Germany since 2010. Of the 22W and 30W versions, more than 15,000 units have already been installed with great success as replacements for 80W to 150W mercury lamps or 70W to 100W sodium lamps.

LED retrofitting: retrofit instead of complete reconstruction

Initial investments for street lights with light-emitting diodes (LED) need not be high, reports Fabio Tinagli, Managing Director of Helecta GmbH. His company specialises in advice, development and manufacture of innovative and sustainable LED products, especially for public street lighting. "We can recommend a so-called retrofit solution instead of completely new LED luminaires for many customers", says the Managing Director. "The retrofit approach means that the existing lamps need not be reconstructed, and compared to a cheap Chinese LED luminaire the procurements costs are also only around 25%, reports the LED practitioner.
